IT'S FINALLY RAMADHAN! ♥

Ramadhan isn't just about not eating/ drinking, but Ramadhan is a holy month for you to collect as much deen as possible, and to also UPGRADE yourself as a better Muslim.

So set a MISSION* for yourself!

* Not to miss tarawikh prayers, finish up reading the quran, less gossiping, no futsal sessions, spend more time knowing about Islam, wear moderately / put hijab on,etc etc etc

SO set a mission, and make sure to commit it till the end of Ramadhan! :)

“As for those who strive hard in Our Cause, We will surely guide them to Our Paths.” (29:69)

"The righteous people compete for good deeds, while the others are captives of their lusts and slaves to their desires." - Islaam.com

RAMADHAN DAY 02 ♥

Pick up your Quran and read, read, read. Reading the Quran is so magical that you'll be absorbed into it, masyallah :)
There are many ways and time for you to recite a page or two... why not pat your cat while reading the holy book?

As Allah said in the Holy Quran:
"The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was sent down, a guidance for mankind, clear proofs for the guidance, the Criterion; so whoever amongst you witnesses this month, let him fast it." (cf. Surah al-Baqarah 2:185)

And a hadith by At-Tarmidhee:

"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.”

So imagine all those pahala you're gonna get by reading not just one page, by one letter! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

If you have no Quran, listen to it instead! I mean, come on, I'm sure your smart phones have one or two verses of the Quran ;)

Make the Quran as your BESTEST friend this Ramadhan, and you'll benefit alot from it insyaAllah.

RAMADHAN DAY 03

You know what the Dua' is; you know the times when you ask God for His forgiveness and mercy? And those times when you're lonely and sad and you ask Him to give you happiness? Or even the time when your Mum was ill and you asked Him to cure her because you couldn't see her suffering?
That's Dua'.

To put it simple, Dua's are wishes. And Allah is able to grant ANYTHING. Yes, ANYTHING.

"And your Lord says: Pray unto me: and I will hear your prayer" (40:60)

"Is not He (best) who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and who relieves its suffering." (27:62)

Dua's made may not be granted ASAP, but it will surely be granted. BELIEVE in that. ♥

So from asking for the ever wonderful Heaven, to having the most awesome partner; MAKE DUA'. Loads and loads of them. In fact, don't forget to make Dua' for your family, friends, and even the ones you don't know.
And make dua' wherever and whenever you are!

Let's say "Amin" for all the beautiful dua's we make. :)

RAMADHAN DAY 04~

It's the 4th day of Ramadhan! Have you been doing your tarawikh prayers? If you haven't, start tonight after your Isya' prayers!

And if you have, WELL DONE! ♥ ♥ ♥

The tarawikh prayers began at our beloved Prophet Muhammad's time, and later brought up again by Caliph Umar. Eventhough tarawikh is optional, tawarikh is ONLY available for 30 nights! If you are a wise Muslim, you surely wouldn't miss to grab that chance! :D

Tarawikh simply means "to rest and relax", so it's not meant to be done in a hurry or rushed matter. Also, focus on the QUALITY, and not the quantity!

If you are living with a group of friends; why not ask your fellow Muslim brothers to the mosque with you to perform the tawarikh prayers? Surely you can spend a couple of hours to pray rather than wasting time on the net or watching a movie?

If you need MOTIVATION to perform the tarawikh, remember this;
- Tarawikh is a special prayer!
- By doing tarawikh, you are loved and blessed by Allah, hence Paradise is waiting for you insyallah.

Note: Tarawikh is not only done at the first week of Ramadhan, but THROUGHOUT Ramadhan! So commit yourself to tawarikh till the end of the holy month :)

There are many good deeds that can be done by righteous Muslims and one of it is to provide meal (iftar) for your fasting family members, friends or other fellow Muslims!

Say, if you are breaking fast with a group of friends. Why not be the one to pay for your friends' meals?

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad said:
“Whoever offers meal to his/her Muslim brother/sister at the time of iftar (the meal eaten by Muslims breaking their fast after sunset during the month of Ramadan), s/he receives as much reward as s/he has earned. Nothing becomes less of the reward of those s/he offered meal to.” (Hadith Tarmidhee)

This simply means that if your fasting friends consume the food you provide, you will also get the same amount of pahala/reward of theirs, WITHOUT any decrement of their rewards!

It's a simple, yet AWESOME way to gain more rewards for your Ramadhan bank! ♥ ♥

Iftar meals can be anything, including tamar (kurma/ date fruit) or a sip of water!

Iftar is also a chance for you to help the poor, so do not hesitate to do this good deed! :) It is also a good way to strengthen sillaturahim, love and friendship among Muslims ♥

So the next time you're with your family or friends... provide iftar for them and get rewarded by Allah, insyaAllah ♥

Dear fasting Muslims, ask yourself this question:
Are you REALLY fasting? What about your senses; are they "fasting" too?

The most common misconception about fasting is that people tend to think that fasting only requires a Muslim to not eat and drink. Period.
WRONG!

The TRUE meaning of fasting is for you to be able to guard your senses and submit to God by doing good deeds and increase your level of deen!

Say, if you're fasting; but you still go karaoke or the cinema with your friends or gossiping or swearing like a pirate... that, my fellow Muslims, is WRONG. That's not how a righteous Muslim should fast!

It is attributed to Imam Jafar as-Sadiq (A.S.) that he said: “Your day of fasting should not be like ordinary days. When you fast, all your senses, eyes, ears, tongue, hands, and feet must fast with you.”

Fasting your senses simply means that you have to keep your senses guarded from unlawful things (that you usually sometimes do during non Ramadhan days...).
Ramadhan is only for 30 days, so this is a good and healthy way to discipline yourself!

"On the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet shall bear witness against them as to what they did." (24:24)

So guard your senses! ♥

Salam, how are you all doing today? :D It has been a week! Time sure flies~

"Do not have malice against a Muslim; do not be envious of other Muslims; do not go against a Muslim and forsake him. O the slave of Allah! Be like brothers with each other. It is not allowed for a Muslim to desert his brother for over three days." [Muslim & Tirmidhi]

As Muslims, we should always ask for forgiveness from Allah, but many fail to realise that we should also forgive and maintain relationship among us humans!

"The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy." [49:10]

Our beloved Prophet also emphasized:
"None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." [Bukhari & Muslim] AND

"You will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not guide you to something which if you carry out you will love one another? Spread salaam amongst yourselves." [Muslim]

This simply means that if we want to enter Paradise, we need to LOVE and learn how to FORGIVE one another!

As mere humans, we cannot run from making mistakes, but we can always be better and learn from the past :)
Remember the ones you fought with at highschool or college over silly accusations or arguments? Is it worth the friendship and relationship over some silly arguments?
The answer is of course, NO :)

To forgive and ask for forgiveness must be done all year round, 24/7 but take this Holy Ramadhan as an OPPORTUNITY for you to build back the broken relationship(s).

Think of love, mercy and forgiveness. And most importantly, think of Paradise! :)

So grab your phone and call your fellow Brothers and Sisters, or simply drop them an IM; and practice forgiveness among humans. ♥
